Ich habe heute wieder wunderbare Karten bekommen. Sie zeigen interessante Orte in Deutschland. I got some great cards today showing interesting places in Germany.

Yesterday I received my first card from Chile. It took eleven days.

Karten von Schwälmer Künstlern

Here are some cards of artist of the "Schwalm", a region along the river Schwalm in the North of Hesse. The clothes were typical for this region and are said to have inspired the Brothers Grimm with the fairy tale of "Little red riding hood". The unmarried girls wore a red "Baetzel" (hood) over their to a knot ("Schnatz) combed hair.

While looking for cards from the Schwalm I found this great doll. It is "little red riding hood", the wolf and the grandmother in one. You can buy it in two sizes.
